We are pleased to welcome David Ward to the team at Cushman & Wakefield Waterloo Region Ltd., Brokerage.
David joins the team with close to thirty years of experience on the landlord side in real estate fund management, investments, asset management, and leasing. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in major transactions and portfolio work across multiple markets, giving him a broad, practical understanding of how real estate performs as an investment, and not simply how deals get done.
A key strength David brings is his deep network of relationships across the brokerage community, landlords, and investors, particularly throughout the GTA. Combined with his experience on the ownership side of the business, this allows him to approach opportunities from multiple angles and provide thoughtful, well-rounded advice to clients.
David describes his perspective as different from many traditional brokerage paths. Rather than focusing solely on any particular transaction, he emphasizes product positioning, with emphasis on maximizing income and generating long-term value. As an industrial specialist, he has long been fascinated by how real estate functions within the economic landscape, a curiosity that began at an early age and continues to shape his approach today.
This move also holds personal significance. David’s son, Connor, has been part of the team since 2018, creating an opportunity for them to work together and build on shared strengths. He also brings longstanding relationships within the organization and confidence in the firm’s reputation and momentum in the market.

Outside of work, David is highly active, with lifelong passions for ski racing and mountain biking, reflecting the balance and discipline he brings to both his personal and professional life.
